In Dreams

Life became a fleeting moment
after I awoke
from dreams of shining waters
I sat beside a sparkling brook
There is so much to see in dreams
that life persists to hide
So now I\'ll open up a door
and take a look inside
To sit with whats concealed
in this tomb we know as life
Can only bring upon me sorrow
and the pain of futile life.
written by my friend Dennis and myself when we were about 17.

Dennis recently died so this is uploaded in memorandum.

i like your poem. and i am somewhat nihilist in the sense that i've played the "why" game with a kid before. i humored the guy and i discovered that no matter how many times i could give him the honest answer to each individual why (he wasnt paying attention to any of my answers, but i was having fun too), he could always ask again.

to me, when you answer the question with the word "art" one simply isnt compelled to ask "why" again.
