Mind Geist

\"Sojourn Not! Thy Wretch!\"
The woman swung around and saw a very tall, cloaked figure. A hood covered the head, shading the face. Two flaming red eyes pierced through, sending a shutter of Negative Wisdom throughout the womans mind. She screamed and began to flee down a staircase, when, suddenly, she was halted in all motion, paralyzed in mid-step. Her body was thrust back up the stairs by an unseen and incredible force and she landed flat on the floor below the figure. she lay stunned momentarily then realized she could move once again and looked upward. The cloaked figure was now standing in front of a window several feet away, a dark and still sillhoette. A mocking laugh filled the air and became so loud and horrendous that the woman clutched at her skull in pain. The figure glided towards her slowly. She got up to run again but when she turned around she found that the staircase was gone. A wall stood there instead. She turned to face the figure and saw that she was now in a room to which there was no door or window, in total darkness, laughter rising, and a cold hand caressed her face. She fainted.

BZZZZZZT!
Startled by the alarm clock, she awoke. \"Ay!\" she said in shock, \"What sound does mine ears fall upon... such terrible sound!\" she tumbled out of a bed, falling to the floor...
BZZZZZZT!
She covered her ears to block the sound. She couldn\'t understand what was happening. What was that disturbing noise! She looked around the room, at the walls, the windows, a mirror, television, the bed. These things! What are they!
BZZZZZZT!
She located the object making the sound and stood over it, confused, never having seen such a thing before. What was she to do to stop it! Could she stop it!
BZZZZZZT!
She became enraged and grabbed the thing, throwing it to the floor as hard as she could where the object shattered and ceased its wretched noise.
\"Such anger... Such weakness!\" a deep voice echoed through the room. \" she turned around and the dark hooded figure materialized before her, \"Rokan,\" thundered the voice, \"Hath thee not rememberance?\"
The woman was suddenly assaulted by horrific vision. She saw who she was. Her whole personality unfolded within her, such madness. She grabbed at herself and screamed. A moment later she closed her eyes and was serene. She spoke calmly, \"Yes, I can account, Magnon. I am Rokan, thy Queen.\"
\"Hmm, Ye were enveloped in thine Astral Dreams again and hath forgot thine own self...\" Magnon lectured, \"If thy continue to be taken in by thine Dreams, then I shall be forced to punish thee\"
\"I shall not again, Magnon\"
\"Good, for we now hath duty to attend.\" Magnon applied a Time Trance and he and Rokan travelled to the year 2280. The emerged from out of the Time Plasma and landed atop a gigantic dome of glass. A city of magnificent size and brilliance glimmered below them. \"Gaze,\" Magnon said as he pointed toward a tower made of crystal that reflected and sparkeld in a spectrum of color, \"There lives a mortal who mocks our very existence. He hath read the ancient texts and denies the knowledge of our race, of our fact.\"
He and Rokan melted through the glass dome and floated to the tower, entering through a window. The mortal was hunched over some manuscipts, shaking his head. Rokan held her hand out towards the man, piercing the mortals mind with a frenzy of terrifying euphoria. The man swung around and viewed the two beings, beings that appeard to be the creatures he had just been reading about, but had dismissed as the folly of a twentieth century authors imagination.
Magnon was grinning at him, teeth clenched, while Rokan temted the mortal with her teasing, lovely feline eyes. Magnon applied an Attention Trance, coupled with Rokans powerful Temptation, leaving the man lustily scatterbrained.
\"Cease, Rokan.\" Magnon spoke. Magnon then tightened his Mind Grip and addressed the man. \"Mine Queen tempts thee as I see. Thou art filled with lust, hindering thine logic.\" Magnon loosened the Trance, allowing the mortal to speak.
\"This is impossible! Are you real? I have read about you in these manuscripts.\"
Magnon laughed, \"And thou hast dismissed our very existence as fiction.\" The man began to speak and Magnon put up a hand, silencing him, \"True, Our race was spawned from imagination, an imagination so powerful that it thrust us into existence and made extinction impossible.\" The man, gthrough the Trance, recieved this knowledge and digested it as fact.
Magnon was pleased, \"Thou hast great ability in compromise, mortal. Reward is deserved.\" Magnon laughed silently, \"As thy lust for mine Queen, so shall union occur. She is thine now, do what thou wilt.\"
Rokan sprung onto the man in a sexual frenzy. They writhed upon the crystaline floor in reptilian conjugation, Magnon watching... waiting.
In the final moments, Rokan applied a Mind Bend and all lust, wisdom and etheral energy was absorbed into her. The man lay dead upon the floor.
Magnon and she stepped back through the Time Trance and returned to their jagged cliffs so that Rokan could distribute half of the captured essence. Magnon would not be left unfortified.
The story was written by my friend Dennis and myself when we were about 15 years old. Dennis recently died so these stories are in memorandum.
They are not great literature, they merely are what they are.
They are meant to be wierd, silly and the blackest of humor.

Background on this story: This is only one of several stories dealing with a nameless immortal race of beings who basically feed upon human minds and souls. these beings have incredible (and unexplained) powers and can do litterally anything. they are a fueding race, constantly trying to steal each others powers. The main characters of the various stories are first off, Magnon, the Monk of Foul Death, his Queen, Rokan and Skognos, an invisible enemy of Magnon's who specializes in controlling the minds of children and sending them to battle with Magnon. Skognos does not appear in this segment. This segment is somewhere in the middle of the series so all the wierd powers and histories have been set up previous to this, so don't worry about not having a clue as to what the heck is going on.
The true origin of Magnon comes from a dream that Dennis had of a Tall hooded Monk with sharp jagged features that psychically tormented Dennis in the dream. He spoke in archaic English which made no sense.

Again, this story is very silly and was written by teenaged boys who were bored and have been uploaded here in memory of my friend, Dennis. I miss you.

Literature seek thee not here. But, for five minutes of wierdness, carry forth.
